Get ready to bring your imagination to life with fabric, thread, and creativity! In this fun-filled summer class, young artists will design and sew their very own stuffed animals or soft sculptures. Whether it's a cuddly creature, a whimsical character, or a plush version of a favorite object, students will explore the exciting world of textile arts while developing fundamental sewing skills. Using colorful felt, fabric scraps, and embellishments, they will learn how to sketch their ideas, create patterns, cut fabric, and stitch their designs together using three foundational hand-sewing techniques. Along the way, they will discover how soft sculptures can be a form of storytelling and self-expression. This hands-on course is perfect for students who love crafting, designing, and bringing their ideas to life in 3D! No prior sewing experience is needed—just a willingness to create and have fun!

For students entering grades 5th through 8th in the fall of 2025
